Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 set out how people involved in construction can legally comply to ensure projects are carried out in a way that secures the health and safety of construction workers and occupiers of the building. In the case of a domestic project, it is usually the contractor who must take on the legal duties of the client in addition to their own duties as contractor. For larger projects, Shirin Alavi Architects can act as principle designer and take on the client’s duties as well as our own responsibilities, or be appointed as a CDM Coordinator.
