The strategic brief is part of an ongoing process to define what the client wishes to achieve with the project. It is the most important part and where most value can be added. Working together with the client, we identify and develop their objectives and use these to inform feasibility studies. The strategic brief refers to the functional requirements, environmental standards, quality and maintenance, highlighting any problems to be solved. It should also outline issues to be addressed and who will be the key decision makers. At this stage we have enough information to advise the client on the appointment of consultants and on statutory and other legal obligations.
